As a Social Impact Consultant you will be responsible for supporting the Society Governance and Engagement team in a range of activities.

You will work with a vibrant and motivated team of social practitioners. You will be exposed to a range of exciting projects from concept development through to closure or decommissioning and also support our in-house engineering teams.

What youll do

We are looking for a Social Impact Consultant to join our team in Brisbane.

The role responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering tailored social and human rights impact assessments and management plans.
  • Collating and analysing social data and developing tailored social baseline reports.
  • Providing high-quality technical solutions to mitigate and enhance the potential social impacts of projects.
  • Developing engagement plans and conducting meaningful community and First Nations engagement.
  • Preparing high quality reports and communication materials.
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships and promoting a collaborative culture.
  • Business development and identifying new opportunities.

What youll have

Youre dynamic flexible and collaborative with a positive mindset a passion for social performance and a drive to challenge conventional thinking.

You bring:

  • Extensive demonstrated experience in social research social sciences social impact assessment or First Nations engagement preferably in Australia including consultancy experience.
  • Experience in engaging Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders and a passion for inclusive stakeholder consultation with experience in implementing stakeholder engagement methodologies within established communities.
  • Experience in the energy and resources industry or infrastructure along with an understanding of cultural heritage and Native Title processes or approvals processes is desirable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to effectively convey complex information and ideas to various audiences and deliver high-quality work reflected in detailed reports presentations and customer engagements.
  • Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Evidence of business development success proposal preparation and fostering ongoing customer relationships.
  • Previous experience in resource and energy projects along with knowledge of approvals processes is desirable along with prior consulting experience.
  • An unrestricted Australian drivers license.
