Construction Intern AECOM Tishman

AECOM Tishman is seeking a Construction Intern to be based in Culpepper VA.

This position is expected to begin in Summer 2026.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring the application of standard techniques procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
• Follows instructions to accomplish tasks assigned by senior staff.
• Meets required schedules while producing quality work.
• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad well-rounded learning experience within their field of study.

Since 1898 AECOM Tishman has managed the construction of some of the worlds most iconic buildings. We employ a diversified preconstruction and construction management staff of structural mechanical electrical and civil engineers; architects; technology specialists; scheduling and cost control personnel; and construction estimators and accountants. We provide expert consultation and guidance in all phases of a building project from master-planning preconstruction options evaluation and decision-making to design review estimating and scheduling through procurement construction and occupancy. Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidate must be pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management Civil Engineering or similar discipline and must have completed at least 1 year of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a Bachelors degree and plan to continue with the Masters degree are eligible to apply for these positions.  Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelors degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working for a large general contractor.
• Previous relevant internship experience.
• Exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word Excel and Outlook) as well as exposure to other construction-based computer programs.
