We are looking for a Data Engineer to design build and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines that ensure high data availability quality and performance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Data Governance and Analytics contributing to robust data engineering standards and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop optimize and maintain scalable data pipelines in a cloud environment
- Perform peer code reviews and participate in data pipeline validation and verification activities
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering standards processes and best practices
- Support internal customers by ensuring data availability data quality and optimal pipeline and dashboard performance
- Develop and maintain data quality frameworks concepts and tooling
- Collaborate with the Data Governance team to support the rollout and adoption of data quality concepts and tools
Qualifications :
Education
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Data Engineering Data Science Software Engineering or a related field
Experience
- Proven experience working on data engineering projects in a professional environment
- Hands-on experience designing and maintaining data pipelines in the cloud
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed data processing
Technical Skills
- High proficiency in Python and SQL
- Strong hands-on experience with PySpark
- Experience with Azure Databricks is a strong plus
- Solid understanding of software development principles (e.g. SOLID clean code version control)
Soft Skills & Attributes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
- Attention to detail especially regarding data quality and reliability
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Languages
- English: Fluent (spoken and written)
- Portuguese: Fluent (spoken and written)
