Key Responsibilities:
- Test Planning & Strategy:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for SAP implementation projects.
- Define testing scope objectives and test deliverables ensuring alignment with project timelines and business requirements.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand business processes and ensure the testing strategy aligns with SAP solutions.
- Test Case Design & Execution:
- Lead the design creation and execution of test cases for different SAP modules (e.g. SAP FICO MM SD HR etc.).
- Ensure thorough test coverage across functional integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) phases.
- Manage the creation and execution of regression tests performance tests and end-to-end testing to validate SAP solutions against business requirements.
- Defect Management & Issue Resolution:
- Identify track and manage defects in SAP systems ensuring prompt resolution of issues discovered during testing.
- Coordinate with technical and functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide regular status reports on defect tracking severity and resolution progress.
- Test Environment Management:
- Coordinate with technical teams to ensure the test environment is properly set up configured and maintained.
- Work with the development and infrastructure teams to ensure test data availability and manage the execution of tests in the SAP landscape.
- Test Execution & Reporting:
- Lead the execution of test cases across multiple testing phases (unit testing integration testing system testing UAT).
- Generate test execution reports and track test progress against project timelines and goals.
- Ensure that all testing is documented thoroughly including test logs test scripts and test results.
- Stakeholder Coordination:
- Work closely with project managers business analysts functional teams and SAP consultants to align testing efforts with project milestones.
- Provide regular test progress updates and risk assessments to stakeholders.
- Organize and lead meetings with stakeholders to discuss testing activities results and concerns.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in testing practices and methodologies.
- Help in the implementation of best practices and industry standards for SAP testing.
- Mentor and train junior testing resources sharing knowledge on SAP testing tools and techniques.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in SAP testing with a strong focus on SAP implementations.
- SAP Modules Knowledge: Experience in testing SAP functional modules such as SAP FICO MM SD HR or others.
- Testing Tools: Familiarity with SAP testing tools like SAP Solution Manager HP ALM or other relevant test management tools.
- Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of various testing methodologies (e.g. manual testing automation regression testing integration testing UAT).
- Defect Management: Experience with defect tracking and management tools (e.g. Jira SAP Solution Manager or similar tools).
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and business teams.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex business processes and map them to SAP functionalities.
- Project Coordination: Experience in managing test plans and coordinating activities across multiple teams.
- Team Leadership: Ability to lead and mentor junior testers promoting teamwork and knowledge sharing.
Preferred Skills:
- SAP Certification: SAP certification in testing or related SAP modules is a plus.
- Automation Testing: Experience in automated testing using tools like Worksoft Selenium or other testing automation frameworks.
- SAP S/4HANA: Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or testing in the S/4HANA environment.
- Agile Methodology: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile project environments.
- Cross-Functional Testing: Experience in testing end-to-end processes across multiple SAP modules and third-party integrations.
