Job Summary
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced SAP BTP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) cloud-ready ABAP development and integration within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). The ideal candidate will work on designing developing and maintaining cloud-based SAP applications extensions and services.
Key Responsibilities
Develop applications and extensions on SAP BTP ABAP Environment (Steampunk).
Build and maintain RAP-based OData services (managed & unmanaged scenarios).
Design and implement ABAP Cloudcompliant solutions following SAPs clean-core principles.
Develop custom objects CDS Views Behaviors Business Objects and Fiori UI service exposures.
Integrate SAP BTP solutions with SAP S/4HANA (on-prem or cloud) using OData RFCs BTP Connectivity.
Optimize ABAP code for performance scalability and security in the cloud environment.
Work closely with functional consultants architects and integration teams.
Participate in code reviews testing cycles and production deployment activities.
Maintain documentation technical specifications and solution design.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience in ABAP on SAP BTP or ABAP Cloud.
Proficiency in RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model).
Experience with CDS Views Business Object behavior definition and annotations.
Hands-on with OData V2/V4 Fiori app enablement.
Good understanding of SAP BTP services such as Cloud Foundry Destination XSUAA and Event Mesh.
Experience with Git-based repositories ABAP Git and CI/CD concepts.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Good-to-Have Skills
Exposure to SAP CAP or UI5 development.
Knowledge of Integration Suite Workflow Management or BTP Security.
Experience with S/4HANA extensibility (In-App/Side-by-Side).
Familiarity with SAP Cloud ALM or Solution Manager
