Role
We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our APJ Field Sales department. This is a hybrid role based in Sydney (3 days a week in-office) reporting to the Senior Manager Sales Engineering.
As a Zscaler Pre-Sales Systems Engineer you and your Account Executive will be responsible for helping clients transform their network and application access by presenting the Zscaler cloud security solution to prospective customers creating and delivering demonstrations of the products gathering customer technical requirements creating evaluation test plans with customers and then managing the evaluation process to a successful conclusion. To accomplish this you must have a strong desire to set the vision translating business objectives into enticing and actionable recommendations. You will act as a trusted advisor to our clients while aiding the customers transformational journey.
What youll do (Role Expectations)
- Showcase the Zscaler platform to potential customers
- Present demos collect technical requirements create evaluation test plans and oversee the evaluation process
- Provide technical expertise and advice to enterprise customers
- Take total ownership of the technical sale and processes

What Were Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent extensive experience as a Sales Engineer or systems integrator
- 4 years of experience in Pre-Sales roles including experience selling security or networking solutions in direct or high-touch sales environments
- Proficiency with HTTP and web-related technologies
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience working with routing and switching products including troubleshooting
- Understanding of SaaS-based technologies and network security technologies
- Hands-on experience with systems installation configuration and administration of macOS UNIX/Linux and Windows-based systems
