Job Summary

RMHC New Zealand supports families with a child in hospital away from home.

The Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room programmes take care of the practical things in life so that families can focus on what really matters each other.

Each year we provide more than 4000 families from across the country with accommodation meals and support free of charge saving them more than $9 million collectively. We are part of a global network which is now 50 years old and operates in 36 countries worldwide.

The Opportunity

Were looking for an experienced National Events Manager to lead the delivery of profitable high-calibre events across New Zealand to support the provision of compassionate hospitality for thousands of families every single year.

This role is responsible for executing the national events strategy. You will work closely with our Revenue Generation and Marketing & Communications teams to ensure events are delivered consistently and to best-practice standards to deliver events that feel meaningful memorable and inspiring for our supporters and that generate vital funding for families in need.

About you

Youre a strategic hands-on events professional who thrives in a fast-paced purpose-driven environment. You know how to turn ideas into well-executed events that will ensure RMHC are at the forefront of the countrys most sought after event experiences and how to make them financially successful. You thrive on connection and collaboration and understand that great events start with strong relationships.

Youll bring:

5 years experience in planning & delivering large scale events event plans and annual budgets and reports

Proven ability to translate it into operational delivery

A collaborative empathetic and values-driven approach

Strong budget management reporting and ROI focus

Strong planning and organisational capability

A relationship-led approach to events

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Experience in Salesforce (or comparable technology experience) highly desired and other Event Management CRM solutions

High proficiency in MS-Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel)

Please note: Some events occur outside standard working hours so flexibility is required. Overnight travel is also a part of this role.
