Sr. Pre-Construction Manager

As we continue to grow we are adding a Senior Pre-Construction Manager to bring advanced estimating and pre-construction strategy knowledge and partner closely with Operations and Leadership.

About the Position

The Senior Pre-Construction Manager plays a critical individual-contributor role at Alt Construction leading complex pre-construction efforts and serving as a trusted partner to Operations and Leadership. This position is responsible for developing accurate thoughtful estimates and pre-construction strategies that set projects up for success.

The Senior Pre-Construction Manager brings a high level of judgment accountability and ownership to each pursuit helping ensure that projects align with Alts standards capabilities and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full pre-construction lifecycle including conceptual budgeting detailed estimating value engineering and bid strategy

• Review and approve estimates assumptions scopes and risk considerations prior to submission
• Partner closely with Operations and Project Management to ensure smooth handoffs from pre-construction to execution
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors vendors architects and engineers
• Continuously refine estimating processes tools and standards to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Support client conversations during pre-construction to build trust and confidence
• Analyze historical cost data and project performance to improve future estimates
• Uphold Alt Constructions values in every interaction internally and externally

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating or pre-construction preferably with a general contractor
• Strong understanding of construction means and methods across commercial project types
• Experience collaborating closely with operations project management and ownership
• High level of integrity accountability and professionalism
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with clients and partners
• Proficiency with estimating software and construction technology platforms such as BuilderTrend Procore Bluebeam and Timberline.
• Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or a related field preferred
