Assistant Procurement Specialist - Casa Grande AZ Day Shift
Purpose of the Role
Responsible for identifying evaluating and managing suppliers to ensure the organization receives highquality materials and goods at competitive prices delivered on time and in alignment with internal standards and production needs.

This position works out of our Casa Grande Arizona location in the Abbott Nutrition division. Our Nutrition business develops science-based nutrition products for people of all ages from helping babies and children grow to keeping adult bodies strong and active. Youll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.
What Youll Work On
- Recognize and evaluate sales promotional campaigns and other opportunities to secure reduced prices.
- Assess suppliers products to ensure they that they comply with specifications and meet the organizations quality standards.
- Analyze and evaluate supplier bids tenders proposals or quotations.
- Negotiate prices and delivery conditions.
- Commit to purchases (within established limits of authority) with terms that are in the organizations best interest.
- Interpret inventory requests production schedules purchase requisitions orders and other documents to coordinate purchasing activities with the organizations current and anticipated demand for goods and materials.
- Monitor the quality and timeliness of materials and goods supplied.
- Follow-up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery.
Required Qualifications
Education: Associates Degree ( 13 years)
Minimum of 1 year of experience
Shift
7:30am to 4:00pm; Monday through Friday
