Summary
Under the guidance of the Director of Digital Automation the Digital Solutions Developer is responsible for designing constructing and maintaining software solutions that facilitate and automate high-quality patient care as well as efficient hospital operations. This role focuses on developing and maintaining applications primarily in / Visual Studioenvironment. Additionally The Digital Solutions Developer is responsible for designing developing and deploying intelligent automation solutions using Artificial Intelligence (AI) platforms and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) technologies.
This role partners closely with business stakeholders clinicians and IT teams to identify automation opportunities improve operational efficiency reduce manual effort and enhance scalability while ensuring security compliance and maintainability. This role is anticipated to remain current with emerging technologies particularly in the areas of AI process automation and cloud functionalities while also assisting in preparing the health system for future digital advancements.
Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Engineering or related field;
oran equivalent combination of education and professional experience in software/application development.
Certification Registration & Licensure
None required.
Experience
4 year of professional experience in application (C#) JavaScript and Visual Studio.
Experience developing web and/or service-based applications(APIs web apps background services or integration utilities).
Experience working with relational databases(SQL Oracle) including queries stored procedures and basic performance considerations.
3 years of experience developing automation solutions using RPA platforms (UiPath Automation Anywhere Blue Prism Power Automate).
Hands-on experience integrating AI or ML components into automation workflows.
Familiarity with cloud platforms(Microsoft Azure AWS or GCP) for hosting applications APIs and Copilot AI services.
Familiarity with process mining workflow orchestration or low-code/no-code platforms.
Knowledge of SDLC DevOps CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Healthcare or hospital systems experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
Design develop test and maintain applications and / Visual Studio including web applications APIs and background/worker processes.
Develop non-web applicationsas needed (services utilities scripts or desktop tools) to support clinical and administrative workflows.
Participate in the design and development of AI-enabled and agent-based solutions including integration with large language models (LLMs) and other AI services through APIs and SDKs.
Support the development and deployment of applications to cloud platforms(Azure or equivalent) including configuration of application services functions and related resources.
Build and maintain integrationsbetween internal systems and external vendors using REST APIs web services and healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR/HL7).
Follow established SDLC change management and documentationpractices to ensure transparency quality and continuity of support.
Participate in code reviews testing and troubleshooting providing Level 3 support for assigned applications and services.
Adhere to security and privacy requirements including organizational policies and healthcare regulations (HIPAA) and apply secure coding practices.
Collaborate with analysts architects clinicians and operational staff to understand requirements propose solutions and translate needs into technical designs and working applications.
Analyze and document business processes to identify automation opportunities and prioritize based on feasibility and ROI.
Develop custom connectors expressions and scripts to extend RPA capabilities.
Continuously develop technical skills in areas such as cloud services interface development AI RPA modern development frameworks and healthcare technologies and share knowledge with the team.
