Quality Control Specialist

Job Description:
Pay Range: $23hr - $28hr
The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for supporting quality control testing activities in a laboratory environment.
This role involves performing routine QC tests data analysis documentation equipment maintenance and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
The position requires hands-on laboratory work and collaboration with cross-functional teams while developing the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
Train and become proficient in required testing techniques equipment operation and relevant software used for testing data analysis and reporting.
Perform routine accurate and timely QC tests under supervision in accordance with standard protocols and operating procedures.
Prioritize daily workload and progressively develop the ability to work independently.
Analyze data and report test results including completion of required documentation and database entries.
Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and report issues to the QC Supervisor or Manager.
Maintain logs and required documentation accurately and consistently.
Prepare laboratory supplies and reagents and assist with general laboratory maintenance as needed.
Promote and maintain a safe work environment and participate in Environmental Health and Safety programs.
Identify hazards address corrective actions and notify supervisors and safety personnel of unsafe conditions.
Maintain compliance with safety requirements within the assigned work area.
Participate in team projects cross-training activities and other assigned duties as required.
Requirement/Must Have:
Flow Cytometry experience.
Experience working in a laboratory environment handling biological materials.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of related experience in a biotech laboratory environment.
Experience in an industrial or research laboratory preferred.
Skills:
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Word.
Knowledge of general laboratory safety practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to follow established procedures and maintain accurate and complete records.
Qualification And Education:
Bachelors degree in a related scientific discipline or relevant college coursework combined with required laboratory experience.
