Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support an upcoming network refresh project in San Diego CA. This role will be onsite and focused on executing overnight cutovers to minimize business disruption. The engineer will be responsible for preparing deploying and validating Cisco networking equipment during scheduled maintenance windows.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform overnight cutovers of Cisco network devices (switches routers wireless etc.).

Configure install and validate new hardware as part of the refresh project.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues during and after cutovers to ensure smooth transitions.

Collaborate with project managers and client IT teams to confirm successful deployment.

Provide post-cutover documentation and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications:

5 years of hands-on experience with Cisco network infrastructure (Catalyst Nexus wireless).

Prior experience performing network refreshes and after-hours cutovers.

Strong troubleshooting skills in routing switching and connectivity issues.

Cisco CCNP (or higher) strongly preferred.

Excellent communication and ability to work under time-sensitive conditions.

Engagement Details:

Location: Onsite in San Diego CA.

Schedule: Overnight cutovers (project-based outside normal business hours).

Duration: Contract role tied to the refresh project timeline.
