Position Overview:
Seeking a Mid-Level Network Engineer 2 to support and maintain its enterprise network infrastructure. This role focuses on troubleshooting and supporting Cisco-based routing switching and firewall environments while ensuring the reliability security and performance of the network. The ideal candidate will have handson experience supporting enterprise network environments and resolving complex network issues.
Responsibilities:
- Provide Level 2 support for enterprise network infrastructure including routers switches and firewalls
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity performance and configuration issues
- Configure and maintain Cisco networking equipment including routing and switching technologies
- Assist with firewall rule management security configurations and network segmentation
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues
- Support network upgrades maintenance activities and infrastructure improvements
- Collaborate with security infrastructure and operations teams to ensure network stability
- Document network configurations troubleshooting procedures and operational processes
Qualifications:
Required:
- Experience supporting Ciscobased network environments
- Handson experience with routing and switching (Layer 2 / Layer 3)
- Experience working with enterprise firewalls
- Strong troubleshooting skills in complex network environments
- Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP VLANs OSPF BGP VPNs)
- Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools
Preferred:
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
- Experience supporting large enterprise or utility environments
- Familiarity with network security best practices and firewall administration
Tools and Technologies:
