Job Summary
TES is currently seeking motivated and reliable Earthing Assistants to join our expanding Electrification department. We are looking for individuals to support critical rail infrastructure projects across several key routes.
Earthing Assistants will be working within the following geographic areas:
- St Pancras to Corby
- Bletchley to Weedon
- Anglian Eastern Region including all London areas
As an Earthing Assistant you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our electrification works alongside our APs (Authorised Person) and NPs (Nominated Person). You will be responsible for assisting with the installation and maintenance of earthing systems working closely with the wider engineering team to deliver projects on time and to the highest standards.

About You
- Be experienced within the rail industry with in depth knowledge of Network Rail rules and regulations
- Hold the following competencies: PTS with AC and DCCR
- Have access to own vehicle and driving license
- Have the ability to use their own initiative
- Be able to communicate effectively especially whilst relaying telephone messages
- Assisting and following reasonable instructions from the NP/AP undertaking work on the overhead lines
- Carry out general labouring and track duties
- Undertaking store duties as required ensuring the right equipment is selected and calibrated
- Ensuring a high standard of safety
