POSITION SUMMARY
The Strategic Operations Leader will play a key role in driving operational transformation and network optimization across the organization. This position will be responsible for planning and executing initiatives related to site consolidations closures relocations and process improvements that support long-term business efficiency and growth. This position will work closely with cross-functional partners including operations supply chain HR finance legal and regional leadership. The Strategic Operations Leader will ensure that transition projects are well-coordinated compliant cost-effective and executed with minimal disruption to business continuity. This role requires strong analytical capability structured project management and the ability to influence stakeholders in both local and global environments. The Leader will contribute to building a more agile and efficient operational footprint while supporting employees and maintaining organizational integrity through periods of change.
CORE FUNCTIONS
Operational Strategy and Optimization:
Contribute to the development and execution of operational strategies that support site consolidations relocations and closures.
Assess current operational performance capacity and cost structures to identify opportunities for footprint optimization.
Support business-case development for consolidation or movement initiatives including cost risk and timeline analysis.
Lead budgeting and cost tracking for site transition initiatives including OpEx CapEx and restructuring-related expenses.
Monitor financial performance against project targets and support reporting to finance and leadership teams.
Identify operational risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent disruptions to business continuity.
Monitor industry trends to incorporate innovative approaches into operational strategies.
Ensure that all consolidation and closure activities adhere to relevant local and international regulations including environmental labor and safety standards.
Project Management:
Lead cross-functional project teams through the planning and implementation of site transitions ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
Manage project timelines deliverables resources and risks to ensure smooth execution of consolidation or closure activities.
Oversee transition activities such as equipment relocation inventory management facility decommissioning and operational handover.
Communicate project scope progress and risks to stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.
Capture lessons learned and support the creation of standard methodologies for future transition projects.
Maintain documentation governance processes and audit readiness throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify cost efficiencies and optimize resource allocation throughout the project.
Identify and execute process improvement opportunities related to consolidation workflows project governance and operational efficiency.
Cross Functional Collaboration:
Coordinate with regional leaders functional partners and global operations teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution across geographies.
Support alignment between corporate strategy and regional operational needs.
Develop and implement change management plans for impacted sites teams and stakeholders.
Partner with HR and communications teams to support workforce transitions including redeployment training or separation activities.
Promote transparency and maintain employee engagement during operational changes.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
9 years of progressive experience in operations leadership global program management supply chain or manufacturing network optimization which may include 9 years of project management experience.
Proven track record leading site consolidation closure or relocation initiatives within complex global organizations.
Experience managing large-scale change cross-functional teams and executive communications.
Required Licenses
PMP certification preferred.

Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with ability to develop compelling business cases.
Excellent communication negotiation and stakeholder-influencing skills across global environments.
Ability to navigate ambiguity and lead teams through high-pressure fast-moving situations.
Knowledge of international regulations labor laws environmental compliance and operational risk management.
Skilled in Microsoft Office products including Excel and Project.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is subject to sedentary work; exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involved sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
