Job Summary
$18.00$19.50/hr
LK Jordan & Associates is hiring on behalf of our client for a Customer Service Representative in Southwest Houston to support a fast-paced sales and order processing team. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented customer-focused and comfortable working with order entry systems reports and daily communication with both customers and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
Process incoming customer and sales orders accurately and efficiently
Review order reports and correct discrepancies as needed
Manually enter orders into the system when required
Transfer order files for routing and ensure proper processing
Communicate customer product shortages (outs) to customers or sales reps
Provide required documentation such as COAs and spec sheets when requested
Complete daily invoicing and credit memo processing
Support credit/collections by answering calls and routing inquiries appropriately
Research and respond to customer sales rep and affiliate inquiries
Provide backup support to Will-Call and other departments as assigned
Assist with Sales Representative vacation coverage
File documents and maintain organized records
Maintain professionalism and provide excellent service to internal and external customers
Follow all company policies procedures and safety guidelines
Perform other duties as needed to support business goals
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
13 months of customer service order entry or related office experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a structured environment
Skills Needed
Basic math skills (including counting change when needed)
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Basic computer skills including:
Spreadsheet software (Excel)
Word processing (Word)
10-key typing
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand walk and work on-site for an 8-hour shift
Ability to lift 510 lbs. from floor level up to 6 feet
Ability to reach bend kneel crouch and perform repetitive movements as needed
Work Environment
This position may involve working around moving mechanical parts in a moderate-noise environment. Safety awareness is required at all times.
