The role:As theVP Head of North AmericaSalesyouwill lead a team of experienced sales relationship managers and commercial specialists and will report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer.This position will help Energy strengthen our brand presence with key customers across the Americas.The individual will work closely with the team to develop an effective transformation plan including sales strategy and collaborate across functions to achieve short-term to long-termobjectiveswhich include enhancing customer experienceattainingand exceeding financial andsynergytargets and guiding and motivating the sales team tooptimalperformance.We want to stay relevant to the markets we serve transformingthe business in line with tomorrows market needs is an important part of the mission.

As a Sr. Commercial Leader you will be part of the Global Commercial Leadership team and supported by colleagues with diverse backgrounds and experience.

Responsibilities:
Working within one of the worlds foremost commodity data news & analytics providers you will lead a team of sales professionals to exceed the assigned net-sales goals customer experience metrics and other tactical and strategicobjectives.
Develop and execute in-depth account-based sales strategy which should include discovering needs diagnosing customer problems presenting solutions renewing subscription agreements andexpandingnewbusiness
Connect with pitchtoand engage with senior customer counterparts tell theS&PGlobal Energy story.Basicallysetexpectationonthoutbound side of work needed leading from the front when needed.
Proactively engage and build relationships with senior client stakeholders by presenting the S&P Global Energy value proposition leading outbound outreach efforts and setting a high standard for customer engagement through direct involvement when necessary.
Work closely withEnergymarketing teams and our third-party channel partners to support our customers and develop growth opportunities.
Ensure the teammaintainsand improves customer satisfaction measured byEnergysNet Promoter Score (NPS) and positive anecdotal feedback from clients. Develop and implement customer retention strategiesto minimize downgrades risks and maximize up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.
Ensure close collaboration with internal teams including Business Lines Product ManagementCustomer ExperienceMarketing and Technology to maximize revenue growth and external channel partners to promote and grow our revenue.
Manage and drive the creation and assignment of sales goals business retention goals compensation plans and travel expense budgets for team members in your group.
Establish best practices implementing our salesmethodologyand applying sound judgement and discipline when forecasting and planning.
Providing managerial direction coaching and theadditionalsales skills and tools the team will need to achieve set targets. Ensuring the team is kept well-informed of key trends responding to client and market demands with relevant conversations engagementsproductsand services.
Develop andmaintaina united and world-class team that is constantly growing highlyengaged asmeasured byEnergy VIBE survey (Voice Insights Belonging and Expectations) anddemonstratingbehaviors which are aligned toEnergy and Commercial Culture values.
Serve as a Regional leader providing directioncoachingand advocacy forAmericasRegion.
What Were Looking For: We are looking for a high-performing and transformational sales Leader to help usexceedour revenue growth targets by focusing on putting the customer at the center of everything we do understanding customer needs and keeping our company competitive and innovative. This role will be a team player with an essential role in the Commercial Leadership teamleadthe team through change management coaching ability anddriveto the table. Experience in and/or strong knowledgeof the commodity oil & gas energy power or related industries is preferred along with a proven sales record and ability to lead sales teams proven experience in developing and implementing a commercial blueprint to drive significant growth in North America market and own people-first soft management skills.
Basic Qualifications:
Extensiveexperience in sales roles with at least ten years managing sales into the energy financial or business-to-business markets including P&L or similarfinancial responsibility. Mustdemonstrateachievementof regularly exceeding company sales/financial goals.
Strong consultative sales and negotiation skills experiencepossesshigh integrity and is proficient in all phases of the selling cycle from need creation proposal preparation negotiation to deal closure.
Bachelors degree in Business Economics or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

Excellent written verbal and presentation skills and ability to articulate complex product information to sophisticated prospects and customers.Abilityto confidently speak to our clients including C-levelis critical.
Strong leadership capabilities with experience in team development and mentoring.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to drive business results.
Demonstrated forecasting and pipeline management capabilities inaCRM environment.Competent with systems (Salesforce/ Equivalent CRM MS Tools)

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $176000 to $360000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.
