An established accounting firm in Cape Town is seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for candidates who have completed their Accounting Degree and Honours/CTA to gain invaluable experience working with a diverse portfolio. Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing annual financial statements according to relevant accounting frameworks.
- Execute audit procedures to ensure the accuracy of client financial records.
- Prepare and submit tax returns including VAT PAYE and Income Tax.
- Perform data entry and bank reconciliations to maintain management accounts.
- Ensure all work adheres to current accounting standards and legislative requirements.
- Compile working paper files and documentation for senior review.
Requirements:
- Completed Accounting Degree plus Honours or CTA.
- Highly motivated with a strong desire to gain experience in a professional accounting firm.
- Committed to completing professional training competencies (SAICA/SAIPA).
- Strong academic background with a focus on financial reporting and taxation.
