We are seeking a skilled compassionate and committed ARP (Additionally Resourced Provision) Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Merton starting as soon as possible. About the ARP

The ARP is a specialist provision within a mainstream primary school designed to support pupils with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Pupils within the provision may present with a range of needs including autism spectrum conditions speech and language needs social and emotional needs and associated learning difficulties.

The provision offers a structured nurturing and highly supportive learning environment while maintaining strong links with mainstream classes. Inclusion consistency and personalised learning are central to the ethos of the ARP.

You will work closely with a dedicated team of support staff SEN professionals therapists and senior leaders to deliver tailored provision that supports both academic progress and personal development.

The Role and Its Responsibilities

As an ARP Teacher you will be responsible for leading teaching and learning within the provision. Your role will be varied purposeful and impactful requiring a balance of structure flexibility and empathy.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering personalised learning programmes tailored to pupils individual needs

• Teaching small groups and individual pupils using specialist strategies and interventions

• Adapting the National Curriculum to ensure accessibility and engagement

• Supporting pupils social emotional and communication development

• Using assessment effectively to track progress and inform next steps

• Contributing to EHCP reviews reports and professional meetings

• Working closely with teaching assistants to ensure consistent support

• Supporting pupils inclusion into mainstream lessons and wider school activities

• Creating a calm safe and predictable learning environment

• Liaising with parents carers and external professionals

• Upholding safeguarding and wellbeing at all times

This role requires a reflective practitioner who understands that progress can look different for every child and values each step forward.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to meeting the needs of pupils with additional learning requirements. The successful candidate will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience working with pupils with SEND (ARP SEN school or mainstream SEND experience welcomed)

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation

• Be patient resilient and adaptable in their approach

• Have high expectations for pupils progress and wellbeing

• Be confident working with EHCP targets and personalised learning plans

• Communicate effectively with colleagues parents and external agencies

• Be committed to safeguarding inclusion and equal opportunities
