The Role
As a KS1 Teacher you will be responsible for teaching pupils in Year 1 or Year 2 planning and delivering high-quality lessons across the curriculum. You will foster a stimulating inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity creativity and independence.
You will also play a key role in supporting pupils social emotional and behavioural development helping them build resilience confidence and positive learning habits. Collaboration with teaching assistants SENCO and senior leadership will be essential to provide targeted support for pupils including those with additional needs.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering differentiated lessons in line with curriculum objectives
Monitoring assessing and tracking pupil progress
Supporting pupils social emotional and behavioural development
Creating a safe inclusive and stimulating learning environment
Using a range of teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs including SEN and EAL pupils
Collaborating with teaching assistants subject leaders and SENCO
Communicating effectively with parents carers and external agencies
Participating in CPD staff meetings and school improvement initiatives
Contributing to extracurricular activities school events and trips
Maintaining safeguarding health and safety standards
