The Role
As a KS1 Teacher you will be responsible for teaching pupils in Year 1 or Year 2 creating a stimulating classroom environment that fosters curiosity creativity and independent thinking. You will plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons across all curriculum areas with a particular focus on English mathematics and foundation subjects.
You will also support pupils social emotional and behavioural development helping them build confidence resilience and interpersonal skills. Working closely with teaching assistants SENCO and senior leadership you will ensure that every pupil including those with additional needs receives personalised support to thrive.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in line with curriculum objectives
Assessing tracking and monitoring pupil progress
Supporting pupils emotional social and behavioural development
Creating a safe inclusive and stimulating learning environment
Using a range of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners including pupils with SEN and EAL
Collaborating with teaching assistants subject leaders and the SENCO
Communicating effectively with parents carers and external agencies
Participating in CPD staff meetings and school initiatives
Contributing to extracurricular activities school events and trips
Maintaining safeguarding health and safety standards

Holds QTS and has experience teaching Key Stage 1
Is passionate about early years education and child development
Can deliver high-quality engaging and differentiated lessons
Has strong classroom management and organisational skills
Understands SEN EAL and pastoral support needs
Demonstrates a reflective proactive approach to teaching
Builds positive relationships with pupils colleagues and parents
Promotes inclusion wellbeing and resilience in all pupils
