Release Manager Mortgages Technology

Permanent Full-Time

Sydney or Gold Coast based 3 days in the office

How will I help

Accountable for supporting the Release Management lifecycle including activities such as scheduling releases ensuring readiness from delivery and governance identifying and managing release risks coordinating between multiple squads across Mortgages villages and the UNITE programs and deploying releases in line with agreed schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Support and manage the Release Management lifecycle including scheduling releases coordinating between multiple squads across Mortgages villages and the UNITE programs and deployment in line with agreed schedules
  • Ensure releases undergo required quality controls (build testing and deployment stages) working closely with application development testing and production teams
  • Identify document and manage risks that may impact release timelines ensuring scope schedule and quality are maintained
  • Schedule release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release
  • Prepare and share weekly updates on release activities
  • Coordinate and support Go-Live activities to deploy changes successfully
  • Manage release risk reporting at portfolio level and help track issues blockers and incidents. Any issue introduced in production as a result of a release will be included in risk reports and tracked until resolution

What do I need

  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
  • Demonstrated experience across projects and/or delivery of technology solutions in service delivery project management or release management roles
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement and uplift in tools and processes
  • Experience working across Agile and waterfall delivery models and mindsets
  • Working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Experience supporting and coordinating teams
  • Good understanding of application infrastructure system architecture and operating systems
  • Experience using tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience defining and measuring success using OKRs KPIs or similar frameworks
  • Previous banking domain experience is beneficial but not required
  • A relentless passion for improvements efficiencies simplification and automation reducing waste will increasing reliability
  • Working experience with AI and automation tools
  • Engineering mindset and curiosity
  • Proven leadership experience
