Role Description
This is a full-time role for a Commercial Insurance Broker based in Ballina Co. Mayo with flexibility for hybrid working.
As a key member of the commercial team you will work closely with SME and corporate clients to manage and grow commercial insurance accounts. The role involves providing expert advice placing risks with insurers and delivering an excellent standard of client service throughout the policy lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
Liaising with insurers and underwriters to negotiate terms and secure appropriate cover
Broking new and existing risks across a range of commercial lines
Building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships
Conducting client visits where required
Handling some connected personal lines activity
Ensuring policies and documentation are compliant with Irish regulatory requirements
Supporting business development and cross-selling opportunities where appropriate
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 3 years experience in commercial insurance broking with a strong understanding of the Irish insurance market
Hands-on experience using OpenGI is required
Sound knowledge of commercial insurance products and placement processes
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
Strong communication organisation and problem-solving abilities
Working knowledge of Irish insurance regulations and compliance standards
Relevant industry qualifications (APA / CIP)
