Job Duties

Duties include but not limited to
Teaching student-athletes the fundamentals and mechanics of football.
Evaluating and recruiting potential student-athletes; organizing and conducting team practices.
Performing administrative and public relations duties and other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate will serve as a position coach for Special Teams.
The successful candidate will travel for both recruiting and team travel. The work schedule requires a flexible schedule including weekends holidays and evenings.
The physical requirements for work is medium demand including lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent carrying/lifting objects.
The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure compliance with NSU Commonwealth of Virginia NCAA and MEAC rules regulations and policies.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must possess a bachelors degree.
Minimum of 10-12 years coaching experience at the college level.
Must have DI collegiate coaching experience
Experience coaching and/or playing specialty as Special Teams.
Demonstrated experience with recruiting and student-athlete development.
Proven record of adherence to NCAA academic and compliance regulations.
A successful criminal background check is required.

Additional Considerations

Masters degree.
Must have selected for internship or academy in professional level sports (NFL).
