Location: Newark Wayne Community Hospital

Hours Per Week: 36 Hours (Full-time)

Schedule: Day/Evening/Night shifts and weekends/holidays as required by unit.

We are now accepting applications for the Newark Wayne Community Hospital Emergency Department (ED) Nurse Fellowship Program for May 2026 RN graduates.

The emergency department can be exciting and exhilarating. At Rochester Regional we have some of the busiest emergency departments in the state outside of New York City. Our ED fellowships available only to recent nursing graduates give you the opportunity to experience this fast-paced environment and determine if its right for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Patient Care & Service: Promote and restore patients health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; performing various treatment procedures; providing physical educational and emotional support to patients friends and families; supervising assigned team members

• Planning & Communication: Develop and document individualized care plans customized for each patients unique needs with support from the interdisciplinary health team as needed; maintain effective communication to convey patient health status treatment plans and progress

• Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management: Demonstrate proficient use of an EHR including accurate patient and provider documentation and communication

• Compliance: Adhere to required department and system protocols regulations (local state federal) and education requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing

• Registered Nurse license in New York State

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred

PAY RANGE:

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience relevant qualifications specialty internal equity location and contracts.
