Job Summary
Balanced Body is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team! This role is a fantastic opportunity for both undergraduates and graduates to gain hands-on practical experience. As a Mechanical Engineer youll collaborate with the Engineering team gaining valuable insight into design work using SolidWorks as well as testing troubleshooting engineering production challenges and much more. Youll have the chance to interact with engineers and various production departments to expand your skills and knowledge.
- Create detailed engineering drawings using Solid Works Software
- Support testing and validation of prototypes
- Tool jig and fixture to design to support production continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain documentation of assembly processes
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to problem solving discussions
- Support the troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical issues in production
- Train production in new product builds
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a related position
- Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD software
- Proficiency in mechanical design drafting practices including full compliance with ASME Standard Y14.5 and relevant GD&T standards
- Proficiency in using MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook) suite of software
- Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Schedule
Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 4:00PM
Fully On-site in Sacramento CA 95828
