POSITION SUMMARY
TheSubstitute Teacher -Elementary Schoolis responsible for the education and supervision of students across all primary subjects in their class(es). It is the role of the Substitute Teacher to be sure that all students are safe secure and properly supervised at all times ensuring the daily academic program is followed effectively. This position requires demonstrating the competencies and behaviors needed to deliver general all-subject instruction and to support the core values vision and mission of Rochambeau.

• Assumethe duties and responsibilities of the regularly assigned teacher delivering comprehensive instruction for the duration of the assignment

• Implementestablished classroom routines discipline procedures and health and safety protocols effectively

• Managethe classroom environment to foster student participation interest and engagement in the learning process

• Adaptto flexible assignments in several different grades and/or subjects within the elementary division

• Collaborateeffectively with grade-level teams and support staff

• Possessdynamism and an unceasing energy for new challenges demonstrating a strong sense of teamwork

• Performadditional duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a bachelors degree preferably in a relevant field

• 1 years of teaching experience

• Native French OR English language proficiency with excellent speaking and writing skills

• Demonstrate strong foundational knowledge across the primary curriculum subjects

• Demonstrate a strong sense of teamwork and the ability to adapt to any situation

• Reliable attendance at work and flexible availability for assignments

• Demonstrate a commitment to Rochambeaus vision mission values and strategic aims

• Three Professional References (name position contact number and email) listed on your CV/resume

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.Visa Sponsorship is not offered for this role.

Preferred Requirements:

• Bilingual French-English language proficiency

• Elementary teaching experience and/or Teacher Certification

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position primarily operates in a school environment. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting bending walking andstanding extensive use of computers and other office equipment and occasional lifting or moving of equipment up to 25 pounds.
