Job Summary

Reporting to the Centre Director acts as an integral member of the Kids & Company team to assist in the overall management of day-to-day operations of all food preparation and cooking at the kitchen through the conscientious application of Kids & Company standards to achieve our mission statement.

Responsibilities

Daily Duties include supporting the head chef with daily food preparation cutting fruits/ vegetables heating food portioning dishwashing and delivering food to the classrooms.

Ensure safe food storage and disposal including maintaining temperature logs.

Complies with all health regulations and the companys best practices

Follow proper washing and sanitizing procedures for all dishware after collection from classrooms

Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule including dishwashing daily weekly and monthly duties

Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time to meet the needs of the daycare centers.

What you need

1 - 2 years of Kitchen Assistant-related experience

High School diploma/GED equivalency required

Current Food Handler Certification or willing to get

Experience in a daycare environment would be an asset.

Excellent communication skills.

Require a clean criminal record check

Ability to push pull and lift up to 50 pounds
