Were looking for a commercially minded relationship-driven Business Development Manager to play a hands-on role in expanding our market presence growing our client base and strengthening our revenue pipeline across the Riverina and Murray and other regions as required.
Youll bring together strategy curiosity and confidence to drive new business acquisition elevate our brand in the market and ensure MicrotechDPS continues to be recognised for what we do best: empowering and protecting businesses through technology.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting directly to the General Manager of Sales this role plays a pivotal part in driving new client acquisition building a healthy and sustainable sales pipeline and converting opportunity into long-term client partnerships across the designated territory. The position can be based in our Wodonga or Wagga office with regular local travel.
This role combines new business development with ongoing account management making it ideal for someone who enjoys being active in the market and building long-term relationships. Youll spend time opening doors engaging in meaningful commercial conversations with business owners and decisionmakers and introducing smarter more secure ways to manage their technology. Alongside driving new opportunities youll manage a portfolio of existing clients nurturing relationships and delivering ongoing value over time.
As Business Development Manager you will:
1. Own the full new-business lifecycle from prospecting and first contact through to proposal close and long-term relationship handover
2. Actively identify and pursue new sales opportunities through outbound activity referrals networking and digital outreach
3. Build trusted long-term relationships with clients by understanding their business technology challenges and growth goals
4. Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to design tailored client-specific solutions across IT services cyber security managed print and infrastructure
5. Prepare and deliver high-quality proposals and presentations that clearly articulate business value risk mitigation and return on investment
6. Maintain accurate pipeline management forecasting and activity tracking within Salesforce
7. Contribute to sales strategy market intelligence and marketing activity through insights feedback and performance data
8. Represent MicrotechDPS with integrity and professionalism at all times including at networking events and client meetings
