We have an opening for a Principal Specialist Contractssupporting our Air and Space Defense Systems (ASDS) Strategic Business Unit in the United States. ASDS specializes in multi-domain integrated air and missile defense advanced sensors space-based systemshypersonics effectors and cyber solutions.
In this role you willbe responsible forcradle-to-grave contract administration activities to include proposal preparation contract negotiation contract administration and contract will enable significant customer activities to fulfill contract requirementsin accordance withcompany policies legal requirements and customer specifications.
A successful candidate will contribute to sole source andcompetitive pursuits as well as execution efforts with our customer. You will handle Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) based Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) compliant effortsand OtherTransaction Agreement (OTA) activity within this roleaccompanied by associated Terms and Conditions review and negotiation.
Additionally thePrincipal Specialist Contracts is required towork closely with Program Management leadership the Office of General Counsel and cross-functional peers in support of program gate reviews program management reviews proposal reviews and all other contractual related matters affecting the portfolios.

This position is currently designated as Onsite. The successful candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the following Raytheon locations: Aurora CO or Dulles VA.

What You Will Do
Advise and/or represent the organization on contract negotiation and administration matters
Participate in and/or conduct front-end assessments of proposals negotiates and executes contracts and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies legal requirements and customer specifications
Prepares bids; process specifications progress and other reports; advise management of contractual rights and obligations and means to mitigate contractual/program risks; compile and analyze data; and maintain historical records
Examine and understand Forward Pricing Rates Cost structure estimates of material equipment services production costs performance requirements and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness
Work autonomously with limited oversight and may provide input or guidance to lower-level professionals with tasks and assignments
Multi-task routine and complex contract and proposal activities while responding to unplanned quick response requirements as they emerge
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience
Experience in leading and/or administering U.S. Government contracts under the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and / or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS) (to include proposal preparation contract negotiation change management)
Experience working Sole Source Proposals subject to the Truthful Cost or Pricing Data Act (commonly known as the TINA)
Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
Qualifications We Prefer
Experience with direct engagement with external customers
Experience with administration and negotiation of proposals and contracts of medium to high complexityto include commercial contracts
Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential
Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders including customers and leadership teams
Mature judgment proactive involvement in strategic issues and problem resolution skills

The salary range for this role is 95500 USD - 181700 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
