Translate the Design Directors creative vision into clear actionable design strategies

and guide teams from concept through execution

Oversee all phases of design projects including concept development space planning

material selection documentation procurement support and installation

Ensure design solutions meet functional aesthetic regulatory and brand requirements

Review and approve design packages specifications drawings and presentations

Maintain design intent throughout procurement construction and project opening

Stay current with industry trends materials technologies and best practices

Team Leadership & People Management

Lead mentor and manage a team of interior designers and junior staff

Conduct regular 1:1s performance reviews coaching and professional development

planning

Empower team members to proactively identify flag and resolve design and project

issues

Build a strong design culture (Build the Guild) that encourages collaboration

accountability and excellence

Client & Stakeholder Collaboration

Collaborate with clients to understand needs goals budgets and timelines

Partner closely with architects project managers contractors vendors consultants and

internal teams

Ensure design solutions are clearly communicated to the broader design and

construction teams for accurate execution

Support business development efforts including proposals pitches and client presentations

Project & Operational Management

Manage project timelines budgets and resource allocation across multiple projects

Ensure quality control and consistency across all design deliverables

Participate in site visits to support technical execution and resolve on-site challenges

Balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high design

Standards

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Interior Design or a related field

810 years of professional interior design experience including leadership or people

management experience

Strong portfolio demonstrating concept-driven high-quality and technically sound work

Proficiency in industry-standard design software (AutoCAD Revit SketchUp Adobe

Creative Suite etc.)

Solid understanding of building codes ADA requirements and industry standards

Proven track record of delivering outstanding design on high-profile projects

Excellent leadership decision-making and problem-solving skills

Strong oral written and graphic communication skills

Ability to build effective relationships with internal teams external consultants clients

and partners
