Description of Work

CRH is currently recruiting for an Administrative Specialist I that will function as a Reimbursement Patient Relations Representative (PRR). The major purpose of this position is to serve as the primary contact person for all the clients assigned to them. This position is responsible for interviewing patient/guardians to accurately collect demographic financial and insurance information for the Epic system. Will use Epics Real Time Eligibility (RTE) and external portals to confirm health plan coverage and obtain information for authorizations. Will monitor and resolve assigned work queues in Epic and work closely with Central Billing Office to prevent billing delays. Responsible for managing a patients personal funds to ensure compliance with policies.

  • Must be skilled in collecting analyzing and completing financial data to determine appropriate billing decision.

  • Basic knowledge of governmental programs i.e. Medicare Medicaid NC Tracks Supplemental Security Income WIRM Palmetto Veterans Administration etc.

  • Must demonstrate proficiency in entering correct data into Hearts billing system timely.

  • Ability to interact and communicate with co-workers and the general public effectively in both verbal and written form.

  • Ability to interpret and implement accounting and bookkeeping principles and ability to organize and retrieve financial data records is required.

This is a full-time position and is eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement. The normal working hours between 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. However flexibility is required to meet hospital needs.
