In this junior-level role you will support the legal and compliance function in ensuring that the companys international business activities comply with applicable international trade laws and regulations. The position is particularly suited for candidates with a strong academic legal background who are seeking to deepen their expertise in international trade export control and sanctions law within a corporate environment.
Your tasks:
- Support the ITC team in the analysis interpretation and application of international trade laws and regulations including export control sanctions embargoes and customs-related requirements.
- Conduct legal research on international EU and national trade regulations and contribute to the assessment of their impact on business activities.
- Assist in legal risk assessments related to international trade compliance and support the development of appropriate mitigation measures in line with internal policies and the Code of Conduct.
- Contribute to the preparation review and maintenance of legally compliant documentation internal guidelines and procedural instructions.
- Support internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams by providing legal input on international trade compliance requirements.
- Monitor regulatory developments in international trade law and assist in translating legal changes into internal compliance measures.
- Assist in the monitoring and documentation of export control processes to support legal certainty in international transactions.
- Support the preparation and continuous improvement of internal training materials on ITC-related legal topics.
Your profile:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Law International Law European Law Business Law or International Trade Law (or a comparable legal academic qualification).
- First practical experience (e.g. internships working student roles or traineeships) in international trade law export control compliance or regulatory law is desirable.
- Strong academic interest and solid theoretical understanding of international trade regulations sanctions regimes and export control frameworks.
- Excellent analytical and legal reasoning skills with a structured and detail-oriented working style.
- Ability to translate complex legal requirements into clear and comprehensible guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in an international environment fluent English.
- High level of integrity reliability and willingness to learn and develop legal expertise.
- Certification or additional coursework in Trade Compliance or Export Control is
