Were seeking a passionate ELTA for our primary school in Hong Kong.
Working hours & Dates:
- 8:15 a.m. 4:15 p.m. Mondays to Fridays
- Starting ASAP
Duties:
- Co-teach with junior form English teachers in carrying out the Space Town Programme designed by the EDB.
- Co-plan with junior form English teachers and Classroom Assistants regularly as timetabled during school hours.
- Prepare lesson plans worksheet adaptation and agenda items prior to co-planning meetings.
- Participate in co-planning meetings (taking turns to chair the meetings) and keep records/minutes of all co-planning meetings in
- the teachers drive.
- Instruct classroom assistants in preparing and ordering all related teaching resources and materials.
- Provide ongoing professional feedback and support for existing English teachers to carry out a Space Town lesson and modify their teaching strategies.
- Conduct evaluation meetings mid-year and at the end of the programme for reviewing and evaluating the programme and students performances.
- Administer junior form levelling assessments twice a year using PM Benchmark. Analysis results to obtain reading levels and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
- Execute other drama related school prorammes
Requirements
- Fluent English speaker
- Degree (in any discipline)
- TEFL / TESOL Certification
- 3 years experience teaching Primary aged students preferred
- Space Town Programme experience preferred
- Drama experience preferred
- Valid working visa
