Key Skills

Power On Reliance XA21 Power Systems EMS Generic Managerial Skills Ability to manage client discussions and technical reviews.

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills:

Over 5 years of experience in Power system applications (Generation): Automatic Generation Control (AGC) Load Frequency Control Load Forecasting Economic Dispatch Power Flow State Estimator Contingency analysis Operator Training Simulator (OTS).

Hands-on expertise preferably on GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS/GDC Platform Software as well as EMS of any equivalent platforms from Siemens OSI ABB Schneider etc.

Proficient in both Linux and Windows operating environments.

Experience with communication protocols: IEC/104 DNP3 Modbus ICCP OPC.

Experience of working with relational databases such as Oracle and SQL Server.

Experience in programming languages for system integration or scripting such as C C PERL or similar.

SQL shell scripting and ability to read and interpret logs and debug files.

Must have experience in picking up and installing fixes on live customer systems.

Strong troubleshooting & debugging skills.

Administer and optimize Energy Management System (EMS) system through application configuration tuning and security patching.

Perform necessary technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing technical services on EMS system.

Conduct code review deployment testing and monitoring of break/fix patches and modification.

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsible for advanced Power Systems Application software development and successful delivery of assigned functions to meet corporate project/product commitments.

The responsibilities include: working with Electric Utilities or ISOs (Independent System Operators) and Transmission System Operators (TSOs) on functional software specifications designing coding testing integration application tuning and delivery.

Education:

Masters or Bachelors degree in electrical engineering Masters in Electrical Engineering specialized in Power System Applications (PSA)
