Finance Managed Services (FMS) in PwC Poland is rapidly expanding as part of the Managed Services Operations. You can play an important role in supporting and transforming the operations of our domestic and international Clients. We continuously enhance our operations by applying best practices streamlining processes and integrating cutting-edge technological solutions for our customers. Join us in shaping and transforming operations for our domestic and international clients as we delve into diverse complex projects and collaborate closely with expert consulting teams to provide comprehensive finance services including accounting and reporting tax as well as financial planning & analysis across various sectors in the region.

We are looking for:
Accounting Expert (AP / AR / GL) Project Environment

Your future role:

  • Perform complex end-to-end operational accounting activities within a dynamic financial project environment acting as a subject-matter expert who ensures high-quality delivery of project milestones drives best practices provides guidance to stakeholders and secures adherence to timelines controls and accounting standards
  • Lead and review complex accounting transactions in one or more functional areas ensuring accuracy completeness and compliance: Accounts Payable invoice processing payment runs vendor reconciliations issue resolution (operational work and/or oversight);Accounts Receivable billing cash allocation customer reconciliations credit & collections topics (operational work and/or supervision);General Ledger ownership of key journal entries accruals prepayments complex account reconciliations
  • Ensure and take ownership for accurate and timely monthend quarterend and yearend closing for the assigned area including complex estimates adjustments and analyses
  • Review and sign off reconciliations of critical balance sheet and P&L accounts; proactively identify root causes of discrepancies and drive sustainable remediation
  • Support review implementation and stabilization of new processes tools and systems within finance project streams acting as subjectmatter expert for your area
  • Participate and ensure quality in transitions/migrations of accounting activities (knowledge transfer process mapping documentation testing and golive support)
  • Act as a key finance counterpart for internal project stakeholders providing expert advice and resolving complex accounting issues
  • Identify and drive process improvements standardization and automation initiatives; identify efficiency opportunities build business cases and support implementation
  • Oversee and coordinate operational changes ensuring clear communication and alignment across teams
  • Ensure compliance with company policies relevant accounting standards (e.g. IFRS / US GAAP / local GAAP) and internal control frameworks (e.g. SOX)
  • Prioritize and coordinate workload within the team to meet SLAs and deadlines in a dynamic projectdriven environment escalating risks proactively
  • Mentor coach and support training and onboarding of team members sharing best practices and fostering a highquality continuousimprovement mindset within the team.

Apply if you have:

  • Minimum 45 years of experience in complex accounting processes (GL AR or AP) with knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP
  • Professional working proficiency in English
  • Hands-on experience with leading ERP systems such as SAP Oracle or MS Dynamics
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a global environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills including leading operational quality calls
  • A results-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and work directly with clients even on-site.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in external accounting for diverse clients
  • ACCA or other professional accounting certification.
