ESS provides multi-service capability to major companies and organisations operating in remote sites gold mines and coal fields.
We provide vital workplace support for people working in some of the most isolated terrains in the world from oil rigs in the North Sea
to gold mines in the Australian Outback.
The Position
As a Grounds Supervisor you will be responsible for the day to day running and supervision of between 7 to 10 Grounds Utilities and reporting to upper level management on a regular basis.
- Supervise the execution of safe and efficient gardening activities.
- Working alongside to oversee staff of a lower grade during shifts
- Ensure all grounds equipment servicing is carried out in a timely manor
- Physically demanding and active role working 11 hour days
- Training of new employees
- Conduct effective prestart meetings attend to performance issues demonstrate and reinforce safe work ethics effectively investigate and report all hazards/incidents and injuries
- Prepare and submit performance reports and field leadership
- Perform other duties within his/her capabilities as required by supervisor or manager
The Person:
- Experience in a supervisor or similar role
- Supervisor Certificates - S123 & G2 (desirable)
- Forklift license S11 and Horticultural certificate (desirable)
- Advanced interpersonal and communication skills
- Intermediate computer skills (All Microsoft applications including outlook calendar)
- Reliable transport and back up should an issue arise
- Neat tidy and professional in appearance
- Be conditioned to the extreme weather in Central QLD
- Be able to pass a Pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol Test
