DescriptionResideo are looking for an experienced Transportation Leader to join our central EMEA Logistics team the role will be based in Brno. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective day-to-day operation performance monitoring and continuous improvement of transportation activities across Europe.
Reporting to the EMEA Logistics Director you will work closely with commercial logistics warehouse systems and continuous improvement teams across multiple countries. Operating within a decentralized logistics model you will act as a key partner to the business supporting carrier management performance tracking issue resolution and transportation optimization.
JOB DUTIES:
- Ensure day-to-day transportation operations run effectively across the EMEA region supporting a decentralized logistics model
- Actively participate in the sourcing selection contract management and deployment of transport partners in close collaboration with Sales Operations Procurement Quality and Legal
- Organise regular Business Performance reviews on Key Performance Indicators with strategic Transport Service Providers (Global and Regional)
- Manage regular communication analysis and reporting on key transportation metrics including on-time delivery spend quality and lead times
- Oversee the relationship and performance of the third-party Freight Audit & Pay service provider
- Own and support transportation systems and processes operating within a Transportation Management System (TMS) environment and ensuring accurate and effective data usage
- Develop maintain and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to transportation across the region
- Support EMEA operations and customer care teams with the implementation of new or ad-hoc transportation lanes
- Lead or contribute to global and regional transportation optimization initiatives including road air and sea freight carrier portfolio optimization and lane planning
- Liaise with trade compliance teams to ensure correct documentation and regulatory compliance for all transportation lanes
- Collaborate with SIOP and material management teams to ensure appropriate transportation capacity is available to support business needs
- Support Quality Assurance teams with deviation management corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) change requests and other quality investigations
- Partner with the central master data team to maintain accurate transportation master data in SAP including routes collection dates planned delivery times and Incoterms
- Act as a second-level escalation point for transportation-related issues driving resolution in collaboration with internal teams and external partners
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation freight or supply chain management including distribution ideally within a complex European network
- Strong understanding of European road transportation including carrier models parcels pallets full truckload operations and relevant regulations
- Solid knowledge of supply chain and distribution models with the ability to operate effectively in a decentralized multi-country environment
- Hands-on experience working with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and transportation-related processes
- Strong data analysis and performance management skills with experience using transportation metrics to drive decisions and improvements
- Proven ability to analyze problems identify solutions and build effective working relationships with carriers logistics suppliers and internal stakeholders
- A hands-on operational mindset with the ability to stay close to day-to-day execution while supporting strategic initiatives
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
