Core Responsibilities

• Influencing and problem solving to help product teams and engineering leadership to craft a connected seamless personalised and automated partner technology ecosystem through an interconnected set products services and platforms

• Promoting designing and Building an API economy for our products and external users in an agile way that ensures loose coupling but with tight alignment

• Helping product teams to retire legacy technology solutions and ensuring we unpick the technology tangle that is left behind

• Formulating the technical roadmap across product teams and helping to secure consistent technology solution design and component or service re-use

• Providing technical leadership through advocacy and coaching across product domains to ensure delivery of exceptional technical solutions

• Building prototypes and creating examples by being at the front of proof of concepts and innovations able to influence form a position of knowledge and experience as a software engineer

• Contributing multi-functionally pairing with engineers at all levels to support their learning to co-develop great outcomes

• Active contributor and participant to the cluster leadership team and accountability for indirect leadership of the organisation with peers

This cluster of products is responsible for the LEGO Groups customer facing technology. These tools help our customers to plan and complete their business with us. It also delivers capability for our colleagues to manage customer relationships and marketing activity. We are building an ecosystem of interconnected services and experiences to offer a world class colleague and customer interaction experience.

Our current tech stack abstract: Among a broad field of technology we primarily rely on the following - JavaScript (React / ) GraphQL Serverless AWS (Lambda API Gateway SQS SNS Kinesis etc.). We also use a number of MACH (Microservices API Cloud Headless) SaaS platforms as well as services from the likes of SAP.

• Being a technical champion you have worked with many different technologies and are passionate about learning and staying on top of new technology insights

• Communication collaboration and coding are your superpowers because you love building amazing products and convincing your peers and partners of the right approach

• Empowering and mentoring is important to you and you love teaching your skills and approach to others

• When you speak people listen and trust your expert opinion. People look up to you and seek to become as skilled as you are. You inspire people to follow you not by dictating or controlling but thanks to your skill in your craft and your positions as an internal (and maybe external) inspiring leader in your field

• You have a strategic approach and know how to stay on strategy. You are skilled in organisational change open to innovative approaches patient with people and you have superb interpersonal skills and communication

• Youre an excellent problem solver who is not fixed on technology but looks at how to craft the best solution. You love a technical challenge and filling in the dots to ensure that all requirements are understood and then delivered (without perfecting the plan before building it!)

Advanced English both written and verbal would be ideal as we are an internationally gathered team.
