In this role you have the opportunity to
play an important role in improving and saving lives around the world by defining and implementing methodologies to ensure that Philips hospital patient monitoring products are biocompatible and safe for use by the intended patient population throughout their intended lifetime. You are a part of the Biosafety and CDE team that belongs to the global Hardware Test Engineering organization within the Hospital Patient Monitoring business. You have a direct reporting line to the Biosafety and CDE Leader located in the US.
Your role:
Support biosafety and reprocessing compatibility verification & validation activities
Assist with impact assessments for material supplier and manufacturing changes
Help develop and maintain biosafety procedures according to ISO 10993 and ISO 17664
Contribute to building and maintaining biosafety databases and data-driven insights
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external test laboratories
Support internal stakeholders with biosafety and risk assessment topics
Great if you have the following:
Ongoing studies in e.g. Materials Science Toxicology Chemical or Biomedical Engineering
Passion for data analysis database building and AI-supported insights
Interest in biomaterials medical device regulations and compliance standards
Strong analytical organizational and communication skills
Very good English skills
Available for at least one year
