For our location in Gummersbach we are looking for a Procurement Manager (m/f/d) starting at the earliest possible date.
As a Procurement Manager you will be responsible for the commercial aspects of procurement across the entire contract lifecycle - from the request for quotation (RFQ) to the end of the execution and warranty phase.
You will act as the main commercial contact for suppliers and serve as an interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders. Through your experience and insights from project execution you will contribute to cost optimization continuous process improvement and achieving company KPIs.
Your Responsibilities:
- Managing the entire procurement process from RFQ to purchase orders contract negotiations execution and warranty phase.
- Selecting qualifying and managing suppliers as well as maintaining the supplier database (PEPP).
- Conducting contract price and variation negotiations (Purchase Orders Change Orders Claims) to ensure optimal commercial terms.
- Ensuring compliance with procurement policies risk management compliance and governance requirements.
- Building and maintaining sustainable supplier relationships and ensuring a competitive supplier environment within assigned procurement packages (lots).
- Collaborating closely with Engineering Construction Project Management Sourcing and Category Management teams to successfully implement project requirements.
- Monitoring market trends innovations and supplier developments to support and further develop sourcing strategies.
- Using data analytics to support decision-making improve supply chain processes and achieve procurement KPIs.
- Developing and optimizing procurement processes and tools using Lean principles and best practices.
- Building and applying product and specification knowledge to evaluate supplier offers and perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses.
Qualifications :
Your Profile:
- Completed degree in Logistics Business Administration Industrial Engineering or a comparable qualification.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in purchasing/procurement.
- Experience in the energy industrial or plant engineering sector is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills including claims management.
- Experience with ERP systems and MS Office.
- Strong analytical organizational and communication skills as well as experience in stakeholder management.
- Very good German and English skills (C1) intercultural competence and ability to work under pressure.
