About the role

Join our Maintenance Planning & Engineering team as a Specialist HME Trucks where you will play a key role in enhancing the performance and reliability of our HME truck this role you will provide strategic advice engineering support and technical oversight for haul truck maintenance reliability initiatives and improvement projects ensuring alignment with relevant standards.

You will also lead defectelimination and continuousimprovement activities addressing chronic issues and guiding sitebased reliability and maintenance engineers. Strong collaboration with stakeholders and equipment OEMs will be essential to support optimal fleet performance and deliver on business objectives.

Reporting to the Principal HME accountabilities of the role include:

  • Develop own and continuously refine WOL and maintenance strategies; track and act on fleet KPIs

  • Act as the technical SME and conduit between RTIO teams Group Technical RTP and OEMs; implement bestpractice frameworks and provide technical oversight

  • Lead defectelimination and CI programs; run / support RCAs and failure investigations; action vendor bulletins to remove chronic issues

  • Provide engineering input to improvement/upgrade projects and ensure effective integration of solutions and technologies

  • Advise and coach reliability / maintenance engineers; replicate proven practices quickly across regions; resolve complex problems and embed preventive measures

  • Support audits / reviews and maintain current knowledge of HME standards and requirements

  • Build strong relationships with operations support functions suppliers and OEMs to enable successful strategy execution

Where youll be working

This role will be based at our Operations Centre in Perth (near the Perth Airport) on a 5 days on 2 days off permanent full time working roster.

Our integrated iron ore network is supported by our Operations Centre (OC) in Perth a state-of-the-art facility that enables all the autonomous trucks trains and drills at our mines ports and rail systems to be operated from a single location.

The OC incorporates visualisation and collaboration tools to provide real-time information across our demand chain and allows us to optimise our mining maintenance and logistic activities across the Pilbara in a way never before possible. Located near the Perth domestic airport the OC operates 24 hours a day 365 days a year to coordinate our integrated network of mines rail and ports from 1500km away.
