Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant UPK Teacher to support our Universal Pre-K classroom. The Assistant UPK Teacher works collaboratively with the Lead UPK Teacher to implement curriculum maintain classroom routines and ensure a safe engaging and positive learning environment that supports the developmental needs of four-year-old children.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Coursework in Early Childhood Education CDA or Associates Degree (preferred)
- Experience working with preschool or pre-kindergarten aged children required
- Ability to meet all state UPK licensing and TLE requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Lead UPK Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and curriculum activities
- Assist with classroom management transitions and daily routines
- Help prepare materials and learning centers aligned with UPK standards
- Actively engage children in learning through play discussion and hands-on activities
- Maintain a clean safe and organized classroom environment
- Observe childrens behavior and development and communicate observations to the Lead Teacher
- Support positive behavior guidance and social-emotional development
- Follow all health safety and licensing regulations
- Communicate professionally with families and team members
- Participate in staff meetings trainings and professional development opportunities

Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Each character has a unique personality and area of interest and brings learning to life by allowing children to explore the world through fun and imagination.
