Zeta is looking for a Social Media Visual Designer who blends design animation and video editing to create high-impact visual content for social platforms. This role is perfect for a visual storyteller who can take raw footage ideas or briefs and turn them into scroll-stopping platform-optimized content that aligns with brand guidelines and marketing goals.

This is a hybrid position in our NYC Global Headquarters

Youll be responsible for designing animating and editing content across channels like Instagram and LinkedIn and other emerging platformskeeping pace with trends while pushing creative boundaries.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Production

Edit short-form and long-form video content for social platforms
Trim and assemble footage add music and sound effects color-correct and export in platform-ready formats
Create captions subtitles and compelling thumbnails optimized for engagement

Animation & Motion Graphics

Design and produce 2D (and occasionally 3D) animations motion graphics and kinetic typography
Animate graphics for social posts and marketing presentations.

Content Creation & Visual Storytelling

Develop creative concepts storyboards and visual assets aligned with brand guidelines
Transform ideas and raw assets into polished engaging social-first content

Platform Optimization

Adapt content for different platforms formats aspect ratios and best practices
Ensure visuals align with current social trends while maintaining brand consistency

Collaboration

Partner closely with marketing content and creative teams to bring campaigns to life
Incorporate feedback efficiently while meeting tight deadlines

Trend Awareness

Stay current on social media trends video styles animation techniques and emerging tools
Proactively apply new ideas to keep content fresh and relevant

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Technical & Software Skills

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite especially:

Premiere Pro
After Effects
Photoshop
Illustrator
Figma

Strong understanding of video editing workflows motion graphics color grading sound design and export/compression settings

Creative Skills

Strong visual storytelling and design sensibility
Solid understanding of animation principles and motion design
High attention to detail with a passion for crafting polished visuals

Soft Skills

Strong collaboration and communication skills
Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple projects
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and meeting tight deadlines

What Youll Do Day to Day

Youll act as a visual storyteller for social media turning raw clips and concepts into viral-ready content. From animating graphics to editing videos that feel native to each platform youll ensure every post is engaging on-brand and optimized for maximum impact.

Nice to Have

Experience designing for paid social ads and performance-driven content
Familiarity with 3D tools (Cinema 4D Blender or similar)
Experience with social-first design systems or content frameworks
Basic knowledge of social media analytics and how creative impacts performance
Illustration skills or experience creating custom graphic assets
Ability to shoot or capture original video or photo content
Experience working in a fast-paced agency or in-house marketing team
Strong personal interest in social platforms creators and digital culture

SALARY RANGE

The compensation range for this role is $80000 - $100000.00 depending on location and experience.
