Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Environmental Services Technician youll keep our patient rooms and all areas of the hospital clean and sanitized. This protects everyone from potential illness or injury due to infectious diseases or other hazards.
Every day you will perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping mopping or dusting. You will also use specialized equipment and techniques to further sanitize our facility. This role requires you to learn and adhere to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials including bodily fluids or sharp objects. You may also refill soap dispensers paper towel dispensers and other supplies as well as deliver clean linens.
To be successful in this role you are thorough and committed to safety. You truly are the most important component contributing to the safety and comfort of our patients visitors and staff. A well-maintained facility with compassionate staff brings comfort and peace of mind to patients their loved ones and all who serve here.
- Responsible for cleaning all nurses units patients rooms and all other designated facility areas including floors woodwork sills vents sinks furniture etc.
- Cleans walls beds commodes mirrors showers fixtures doors closets drawers phones inside windows water fountains.
- Follows the departments policies and procedures on cleaning disinfecting and deodorization.
- Cleans up major spills when necessary responding to pages in a timely manner.
- Obtains all supplies and equipment for performance of tasks; cleans and restocks housekeeping carts at the end of each shift.
Shift: Monday - Friday Days
