Job Summary
IMI is seeking a full-time Industrial Project Engineer for the Athens GA area.
Essential Functions
The Project Engineer will be responsible for the overall coordination implementation control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company policy strategy commitments and goals.
- Ensure the safe operation of all projects by following and enforcing all company and customer safety policies and regulations.
- Prepare project management quotes assuring each are grammatically correct and free of spelling errors.
- Lead theplanning and implementation of a project clearly articulating project scope goals and deliverables.
- Develop full scale project plans with timelines.
- Coordinate and schedule project staff.
- Material and subcontractor pricing.
- Manage a budget on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Review and screen candidates for hiring.
- Provide direction and support to project team.
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders including problems and solutions.
- Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs.
- Review assigned project to ensure adherence to contract documents.
Education and Experience
- Degree in Engineering or Project Management with2-3years experience in project management required.
- Advanced level computer experience including but not limited to Microsoft Office Excel Word Project and Blue Beam.
- Previous experience in reviewing the legality of contract documents.
- Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
- Proven experience in people management and a commitment to industrial safety.
- Proven experience in strategic planning and risk management.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
- Stand of walk for long periods of time
- Use arms and hands to reach for handle or manipulate objects
- Liftand carry materials weighing up to 25pounds
- Stoop kneel crouch and crawl
