Bartender The Commodore Bar & Restaurant

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Bartender to join our team at The Commodore Bar & Restaurant. As a key member of our front-of-house team you will deliver exceptional service and contribute to creating an extraordinary guest experience in a sophisticated high-end environment. Key Responsibilities:

ØCocktail Creation: Craft and serve a variety of classic and signature cocktails with precision and attention to detail ensuring the highest quality and consistency.

ØCustomer Service: Provide personalized and attentive service to guests offering expert recommendations based on preferences and menu offerings.

ØBar Maintenance: Maintain a clean organized and fully stocked bar area. Ensure all bar equipment is in good working condition and regularly sanitized.

ØProduct Knowledge: Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of wines spirits and cocktails. Be knowledgeable about our curated wine list craft cocktails and seasonal drink specials.

ØGuest Interaction: Engage with guests in a warm welcoming and professional manner anticipating their needs and ensuring a memorable dining experience.

ØOrder Accuracy: Accurately take drink orders and ensure quick efficient service while maintaining high standards of quality.

ØCollaboration: Work closely with waitstaff and kitchen teams to ensure seamless service and communicate any special guest needs or dietary restrictions.

ØUpkeep of Licenses: Adhere to all state and local regulations regarding alcohol service including age verification and responsible service practices.

ØInventory Management: Assist with inventory management ensuring the bar is adequately stocked and ingredients are fresh. Place orders as needed in collaboration with the Bar Manager.

ØAmbiance and Presentation: Contribute to the restaurants atmosphere by presenting drinks in an elegant and appealing manner ensuring a visually captivating experience for guests.

Qualifications:

ØProven experience as a bartender preferably in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment.

ØExpert knowledge of classic cocktails spirits wines and beer.

ØStrong communication skills and the ability to engage with guests in a friendly professional and approachable manner.

ØAbility to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail and providing excellent service.

ØA passion for hospitality and a commitment to exceeding guest expectations.

ØStrong multitasking abilities and the capacity to handle several tasks at once without compromising quality.

ØMust have a valid bartending license or certification (where applicable).

ØAbility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

ØPrevious experience working in an award-winning or Michelin-starred restaurant.

ØSommelier training or wine certification is a plus.

ØKnowledge of craft cocktails local spirits and emerging trends in mixology.
