SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Community Resource Coordinator is responsible for strengthening community engagement expanding volunteer involvement and increasing in-kind donations through intentional relationship-building effective coordination and tracking.

This role serves as a key liaison between the agency and community partners volunteers and in-kind donors ensuring that donated goods services and volunteer efforts are strategically aligned with client and organizational needs and priorities.

By managing partnerships nurturing donors and maintaining accurate/timely records the Community Resource Coordinator plays a critical role in expanding the agencys capacity visibility and impact.

Compensation: Based on years of experience
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:30A.M. to 5 P.M.

In-Kind Donations & Community Partnerships

  • Develop manage and grow partnerships with businesses community organizations and individual donors to increase in-kind donations that align with agency needs.
  • Plan coordinate and implement in-kind donation drives that align with programmatic and client needs including support of fundraising and staff events.
  • Steward in-kind donors through regular communication acknowledgment and impact reporting to encourage repeat and long-term giving.
  • Track value and document in-kind contributions in accordance with organizational and CRM requirements.
  • Maintain organized inventory systems to ensure efficient storage distribution and utilization of donated goods.

Volunteer Engagement & Coordination

  • Recruit coordinate and support agency volunteers champions and youth groups and community partners assisting with programs events and outreach efforts.
  • Design meaningful volunteer experiences that foster connection to the agencys mission and encourage deeper engagement.
  • Support volunteer onboarding training scheduling and retention in collaboration with Development and Community Relations teams.
  • Encourage the progression of volunteers into long-term supporters donors advocates and ambassadors.

Community Engagement & Outreach

  • Serve as a primary liaison between the agency and community-based groups to expand awareness visibility and trust.
  • Represent the agency at community events partner meetings and outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with internal staff to integrate volunteers and in-kind resources into service delivery and outreach efforts.

Data Management

  • Maintain accurate and timely data entry for volunteers in-kind donations and community partners within the agencys CRM or database system.
  • Utilize CRM platforms to track engagement monitor trends generate reports and support development and stewardship efforts.
  • Ensure data integrity consistency and confidentiality across all records.

OTHER DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Dependable and punctual regarding scheduling and attendance.
  • Displays a courteous attitude at all times with staff clientele volunteers and visitors of the agency.
  • Abides by program and agency procedures policies and requirements.
  • Creates maintains and shares as appropriate a dynamic self-care plan.
  • Performs other Community Relations related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in community engagement development or a related field.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers managing community partnerships or stewarding in-kind donations preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with data entry systems; strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
  • Valid drivers license acceptable driving record
  • Commitment to the agencys mission and values.
