Job Summary

Bits AI for Security is our AI agent that leverages LLMs to help analysts investigate alerts understand threats and respond faster. Were looking for a product-minded AI Engineer to help us build the next generation of AI-driven security capabilities.

What Youll Do:
- Work closely with users security experts PMs and data scientists on cutting edge AI agents that drive real value for our customers.
- Develop tools retrieval and planning strategies and guardrails; manage prompts/evals; design fallbacks and humanintheloop paths.
- Collaborate with Product Design and partner teams to build cohesive experiences.
- Prototype and see what works well iterate closely with our users and experts and then ship.
- Follow the latest research on GenAI and AI agents.
Who You Are:
- You have a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science Engineering Artificial Intelligence or a related scientific field or equivalent experience.
- Youre a backend engineer with at least 4 years of professional experience (Go Python Java etc.) who values code simplicity and performance.
- You have relevant work experience with LLMs large-scale systems machine learning or adjacent fields. Youve shipped software that uses LLMs to production.
- You want to work in a fast high-growth startup environment that values its engineers.
- You are a good communicator and can drive hard technical conversations towards a pragmatic solution.
Bonus Point:
- Excited to work in the security domain with an understanding of how analysts investigate threats and alerts.
- Fluency with offline/online evals for AI systems; can build reliable golden sets and automatic regressions.
- Experience scaling products in a high-growth SaaS environment.
