Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced BDM / Senior Trader Aluminium with a strong combination of
purchase and sales expertise in metals trading. The ideal candidate will have the ability to
independently originate and execute aluminium trading deals build and manage supplier and customer
relationships and ensure profitable well-managed transactions. This role requires close coordination
with internal teams including Purchase Risk & Commodity and Logistics to ensure seamless execution
and risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently originate negotiate and execute aluminium trading deals across domestic
and/or international markets.
Develop manage and expand a strong network of aluminium suppliers and customers.
Handle both buy-side and sell-side transactions with ownership of pricing margins and deal
structuring.
Ensure timely collections and payments effectively managing credit and counterparty risks.
Monitor market trends pricing movements and arbitrage opportunities to drive profitability.
Work closely with Purchase Risk Commodity and Logistics POCs to ensure seamless trade
execution.
Coordinate logistics shipment planning and documentation in line with contractual terms.
Ensure compliance with internal policies contracts and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Strong experience in metals trading with a focus on aluminium/copper.
Proven track record of independently originating and closing trading deals.
Established relationships with aluminium suppliers and customers.
Sound understanding of aluminium pricing mechanisms margins logistics and risk
management.
Experience across both purchase and sales functions.
Strong commercial acumen negotiation skills and relationship management abilities.
Bachelors degree in engineering Commerce Economics or a related field (MBA preferred).
